The town of Mt. Pleasant, SC is conveniently located just minutes from the Charleston Historic District, the Isle of Palms & Sullivan’s Island beaches, great hospitals and schools as well as shopping, dining and recreational activities.

It is about a 20 minute drive from the middle of Mt. Pleasant to downtown Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina during rush hour in the morning.The commute home during rush hour is about 30 minutes and somewhat longer if one lives in in the north area of Mt. Pleasant (Past Highway 41)

Summerville is about a 30 minute drive from Mt. Pleasant during non rush hour. The airport is a 20 minute drive from most areas of Mt. Pleasant. It is about a 20 minute drive from the middle of Mount Pleasant to downtown and MUSC even during rush hour in the morning.

The town of Mt. Pleasant is located east of the Cooper River, so it is often referred to as “East Cooper.” The area west of the Ashley River in Charleston County is often referred to as “West Ashley.”

Although the town of Mt. Pleasant has approximately 65,000 residents, it still has a small town feel. Regardless of where you may live, you will generally be no more than about a 20 minute drive to school, the beach, shopping and any area attraction in the town.
