The Isle of Palms is an Atlantic barrier island adjacent to the town of Mt. Pleasant. It has approximately 5000 full-time residents and over 20,000 investment owners and visitor a year. The Isle of Palms is approximately 7 miles long and one mile wide and offers residents and visitors some of the nicest beaches on the east coast. The City is also home to an oceanfront County Park at the center of the island. This facility has lifeguards, dressing rooms and refreshments.

Sullivan’s Island
Sullivan’s Island is a barrier island north of Charleston Harbor and adjacent to the town of Mt. Pleasant, SC. There are approximately 2000 full and part time residents. Unlike the Isle of Palms there are few short term rentals and no hotels or motels. Lots are a minimum of 1/2 acre.

Like the Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island has miles of public beaches available to the residents of Mt. Pleasant as well as visitors. The beach is accessible via public pathways found at the end of each street. Sullivan’s Island is more “laid back” than the Isle of Palms with a higher percentage of full year residents. There are few short term rentals on Sullivan’s Island due to the restriction on such rentals.
